About the Production

This November OTG will be staging a production of Shakespeare's epic tragedy Macbeth at the Wesley Memorial Church. Set at the dawn of the Anglo-Saxon age, this visceral and powerful ensemble production will explore the clash of cultures in British Isles during the 9th century as well as seeking to explore the reality of mental health conditions that can be recognised in the text. 

Rehearsals will commence on Sunday 10th September with performances to take place w/c 27th November.

 

Auditions

What to Expect

The audition itself will be divided into 2 brief sections. The first part will include a short drama game which might involve some elements of movement, so do come in clothes that do not overly restrict you. The second part will involve some one to one work on a Sonnet, which will be provided for you.

Recalls

Recalls will be held on Saturday 24th June between 14:30 -16:30 at the Old School House. Invitations to these will be by email, and will contain further information about what to expect. Should you not be free for the recall do say during the audition, do not worry this will not disqualify you from a role.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will commence on Sunday 10th September and will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Sundays will be full company rehearsals; midweek rehearsals will not require all cast members to be present. A schedule will be circulated in advance.
