Oxford Theatre Guild is delighted to be returning to live theatre making in 2021, and takes the safety of our company and audience seriously.

Summer of Magical Theatre at St Edward’s School

We will be adhering to all current government guidance and industry best practice relating to outdoor performing arts, and want to ensure that everyone feels safe when with us.

With that in mind, we have listed some measures we have taken and changes from the the normal summer theatre experience. We hope you will understand that these necessary, and that nonetheless you will enjoy the magic of live theatre with us!

  • We request that you make bookings in household/extended household blocks to help us plan socially distanced audience layouts. Groups of seating will be arranged in advance and marshals will be on site to direct you and help you find a suitable block of seats.
  • NHS Test and Trace QR codes will be available on site.
  • We also request that all audience members to wear face coverings when on site except when exempt, or when consuming food or drink from our bar whilst seated in the arena.
  • If possible please book online at to guarantee a seat, since space will be more limited than normal, and to help us prepare things in advance for your visit.
  • We expect to be running a bar serving drinks and snacks during the interval and (staffing levels allowing) preshow. We will not be taking any cash payments so please brink a card or contactless payment device, or book online using the link in your email or QR codes on site.
