WORKSHOPS
DRAMA WORKSHOPS, open to anyone interested in amateur theatre in
Oxfordshire, are organised by the Workshops on Theatre (WOT) Committee. This comprises
representatives from eight local drama groups, including OTG, who plan a programme of
workshops on Saturdays or Sundays throughout the year on a wide range of topics. The venue
varies each month so that each area of Oxfordshire is covered during the year, and
although you may have a longer journey to one, the next workshop should be closer to home.
Since most members of amateur drama societies are involved in more than one type of
activity from time to time, the aim is to appeal to actors, directors, management and
technicians. Sometimes we do this all at one workshop, sometimes at more specialised days.
Some workshop leaders are local members, and others are led by professionals who are happy
to share their experience with us. The charge for a day's workshop is very reasonable, at
£12 for students, unemployed and Senior Citizens; £15 for OTG/ODN members: and an
additional £6 for non-members to cover insurance and individual membership of ODN.
Suggestions are always welcome for topics for future workshops.
Felicity Peacock is the OTG rep on the WOT Committee and would be very interested to have
your ideas.
