IN A TIME OF VIOLENCE, A DIVIDED NATION SLIDES TOWARDS CIVIL WAR, AND A GOOD MAN IS TORN DOWN BY FATE. The glories of Henry V's conquests in France have faded. Defeat, bitterness and in-fighting now poison England, where his well-meaning but fatally weak son sits upon the throne. Ruthless men begin to turn covetous eyes towards the crown. And all the while, Henry's ambitious queen waits scheming in the wings.

As the most powerful men and women in the realm turn to violence to defend their interests and their families' futures, who will be left standing once the blood begins to flow?

This bold new production from Oxford Theatre Guild condenses Shakespeare's original three plays into a single, powerful narrative. With an entirely gender-reversed cast, it presents a unique look at masculinity, power, loyalty and fatal, overwhelming ambition.

The gender reversal sheds a fascinating light on these very masculine characters and the swaggering male egos that drive this dynastic clash. Many of the actors also double in parts that contrast sharply with each other, serving as subtle commentaries on different personalities.
